Club de Mar – Mallorca will join the upcoming edition of the Palma International Boat Show, providing the event with a new 5,000-square-meter area dedicated to superyachts. This space will be added to the traditional venue at Moll Vell, with the aim of becoming the world’s leading showcase for large sailing yachts.
The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will feature two distinct exhibition areas, connected by sea. The organization had been searching for alternatives for years to expand the exhibition space and accommodate more companies and yachts eager to participate in the show. The event is organized by the Ministry of Business, Employment, and Energy through the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADR Balears) and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA).
Since expanding within Moll Vell was not an option, an agreement was finally reached with the Club de Mar, allowing for a dedicated space for yachts between 40 and 100 meters in length, primarily unique sailing models from prestigious shipyards. On land, an exhibition area will be set up with companies specializing in services and equipment for this type of yacht, including repair and maintenance industries, naval engineering firms, yacht construction, interior design, and more.
The two exhibition areas, Moll Vell and Club de Mar, will be linked by shuttle boats, offering a five-minute journey between locations. Visitors to the Palma International Boat Show will be able to explore both areas with a single ticket, enhancing their overall experience at the event.
The Minister of Business, Employment, and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, who presented the expansion at FITUR yesterday, expressed his satisfaction at “finally being able to meet a long-standing demand from the yachting industry for the show’s expansion. The new Club de Mar is the perfect marina for these yachts, with a rich tradition and extensive experience in the world of large vessels. It offers all the technical and logistical facilities needed for this exhibition.“
