The club resumes its Sports Gala to recognize the achievements of its paddlers and present a new phase of growth following the club’s renovation.
Club de Mar-Mallorca held its 2025 Sports Gala last night, a particularly significant event that marks the return of this annual event after a three-year hiatus due to the comprehensive renovation of its facilities.
The president of Club de Mar-Mallorca, Borja de la Rosa, highlighted during the ceremony that the new facilities represent “a stage full of possibilities: more space, more comfort, and more quality for our athletes and their families.”
The event, which took place in the new Mallorca room of the Llevant Building, brought together athletes, coaches, families, and collaborators to highlight the efforts and achievements of the season.
Also in attendance were the president of the Balearic Sailing Federation, Cati Darder; the spokesperson for the board of directors of the Balearic Canoeing Federation, Juan José Vallejo; the vice president and commodore of Club de Mar-Mallorca, José Cuart and Manolo Nadal de Uhler, respectively; and the general manager of the organization, José Luis Arrom.
Five awards and recognitions
The gala recognized this year’s most outstanding achievements in canoeing by presenting six awards and recognitions.
In the individual recognition category, young Víctor Morey and Santiago Morey were awarded as the best junior canoeists. In the children’s category, the award went to Nuria Mas, who came third in the Spanish KYM Championship. In the cadet category, the award went to the K4 team, made up of Max Mulet, Tomasso Rolando, Matteo Santi, and Antonio Murillo, finalists in the Spanish Championship. The award for best senior canoeist went to Elena Reolid for her excellent season.
As for the special awards for 2025, tribute was paid to the veteran canoeing team, which has won both the National Masters League and the Balearic Islands Championship for three consecutive years. Elena García and Carlos Díaz accepted the award on behalf of the entire fleet.
New sporting era
Although this edition paid tribute exclusively to the successes of the club’s paddlers, Borja de la Rosa emphasized the importance of the recent reactivation of the Club de Mar-Mallorca Winter Sailing School, a key project “to train the sailors of the future and rebuild our teams.”
The 2025 Sports Gala served to celebrate the commitment, perseverance, and passion for sport of the members of Club de Mar-Mallorca. With its new facilities and the impetus of new projects, the organization is entering a phase of growth and renewal.
