The artworks by Patrick Harris, Carol Romero, Chus Fernández, Oriol Esteve, Ascensión Verd, and Ana Docavo transformed the club into a space where art and sailing come together.
On Saturday, May 23, Club de Mar-Mallorca hosted the opening of a group exhibition held as part of Balearic Boating Day, an event that brought together nearly fifty people and highlighted the connection between the sea and contemporary art.
The exhibition featured works by Patrick Harris, Carol Romero, Chus Fernández, Oriol Esteve, Ascensión Verd, and Ana Docavo, transforming the club into a meeting place where art and sailing intersect. During the opening, some of the artists had the opportunity to speak with attendees and explain their works, fostering a direct exchange about the various creative languages present in the exhibition.
The project was part of Balearic Boating Day, organized by the Balearic Marine Cluster, an initiative held from May 18 to 23 with the aim of making the Balearic Islands a hub for the nautical world, bringing the sea, culture, and sailing closer to society.
Much of the exhibition will remain at Club de Mar-Mallorca until after the summer, thus extending its presence beyond the event and consolidating the space as a point of connection between contemporary art and the maritime environment.
