Club de Mar-Mallorca and Azotea Grupo have signed a strategic agreement whereby the Madrid-based group will operate two restaurants within the yacht club. This alliance reinforces Club de Mar-Mallorca’s commitment to creating a distinctive gastronomic offering at its facilities.
The two restaurants will have different offerings, although with a common narrative in both spaces. The first will be located in the exclusive members’ area, next to the yacht club and the swimming pool. Here, club members will be able to enjoy an exclusive menu during the day, designed just for them, with different options. The second restaurant will be located opposite the marina in a fully glazed space with views of the port area.
Both restaurants will offer high-quality cuisine based on fusion cooking with Peruvian roots and a Mediterranean spirit.
Azotea Grupo is a leading national restaurant group, founded and run by José Manuel García, CEO and founder, specialising in developing gastronomic projects in unique locations. Its establishments are located in Madrid, Andalusia and the Balearic Islands, and include, among others, such landmarks as Club Financiero Génova, managed in collaboration with Familia La Ancha, Palacio de Cibeles, Azotea del Círculo de Bellas Artes and Picalagartos in Madrid.
Meanwhile, in Andalusia, there are El Cuartel del Mar, Valhalla Gastro Beach Club, Sal Verde and El Campero, which is currently finalising a new opening in Madrid scheduled for March. With the addition of the management of these two venues in Club de Mar-Mallorca, Azotea Grupo confirms its commitment to unique offerings that combine gastronomy, design and a memorable experience for its customers.
A club open to the city of Palma
The awarding of these establishments boosts Club de Mar-Mallorca’s competitive gastronomic offering following its refurbishment. In addition to the restaurants to be managed by Azotea Grupo, the refurbished Club will feature the Bar de la Marina, which will offer bar and café services run by Grupo Brutus, and the night-time brasserie located in MarSalada, which will also be a nightclub and will host shows.
This leisure and dining offering demonstrates the Club’s intention to open up to Palma and strengthen its integration with the city’s port. The Club’s renovation work, valued at a total of €95 million, has removed the walls that previously separated it from the city and facilitated access to the club via a pedestrian walkway. As a result, citizens will be able to enjoy a wide range of commercial offerings and activities associated with the world of water sports.
All this without losing the commitment, excellence and discretion that have accompanied Club de Mar-Mallorca since its foundation in 1969 and which have made it a unique enclave in the Mediterranean.
‘This agreement with Azotea Grupo allows us to expand our gastronomic offering with two exclusive, high-value products for both our members and the citizens of Palma,’ says José Luis Arrom, director of Club de Mar-Mallorca.
