The entity presents the head of the Balearic Islands emergency centre for 26 years with a medal in recognition of his vital work.
Club de Mar Mallorca has wanted to recognise the work of Miguel Félix Chicón for his career as head of the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in the Balearic Islands for 26 years. Chicón retired from his job last August after being in charge for almost three decades of responding to any emergency or dangerous situation that could affect seafarers. From the crews of large merchant ships to recreational boating enthusiasts, there are numerous people indebted to the commitment and professionalism shown by Miguel Félix Chicón during his impressive career.
For this reason, the president of Club de Mar Mallorca, Borja de la Rosa, presented today a plaque of homage and recognition to Miguel Félix Chicón in the facilities of the entity in the Passeig Marítim de Palma.
