With a lifelong connection to the sea, extensive sailing expertise, and a strong background in water sports and hospitality, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively as a Deckhand, Bosun, or Mate aboard your vessel.
My maritime career includes two seasons as a Deckhand aboard SY Tenaz (40m), a privately owned Dubois-designed sailing yacht built by Pendennis. Working as part of a professional six-person crew under Captain Robert Ponjoan, I was responsible for:
• Deck maintenance, cleaning, and polishing to maintain the yacht’s pristine condition.
• Docking and mooring operations, ensuring secure and efficient procedures.
• Tender handling, assisting in guest transfers and water sports activities.
• Sailing maneuvers, working alongside the team to optimize performance at sea.
Beyond my deckhand role, I successfully owned and operated Chilli Mare – Sailing Cadaqués, a Mediterranean charter business. As General Manager and Skipper, I managed:
• Vessel maintenance and route planning aboard my family’s Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2.
• Guest experience and hospitality, delivering luxury sailing experiences.
• Business operations, including finances, digital marketing, and SEO—leading to 100+ five-star reviews on Google.
I also have a PADI Advanced Open Water certification and extensive experience in jet skiing, wakeboarding, and surfing. Previously, I worked as a jet ski guide in Tenerife, further honing my ability to engage guests and manage watercraft safely.
I hold the Spanish professional sailing certification: Patrón Profesional de Embarcaciones de Recreo (PPER), and the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certification (commercially endorsed)
