Zabell, new sport advisor at Club de Mar-Mallorca
The twice olympic sailing champion Theresa Zabell will be the next technical sport advisor at Club de Mar-Mallorca after the signature of an agreement that will take place in Palma the next March 28th.
Club de Mar-Mallorca confirms like this its determination to promote nautical sporting activities, especially basic sailing.

Zabell owns one of the most brilliant sports resumes in Spain, with two olympic golds (Barcelona '92 and Atlanta '96), five victories in world championships, three in European championships and fourteen in international olympic weeks.

By the end of this olympic cicle, Zabell started the Ecomar Foundation, whose main goal is to educate children in respect and care towards our seas through teambuilding programs in sailing sports. Between 1999 and 2004 she was a member of the European Parliament and since 2007 is the vicepresident at the Comité Olímpico Español.

Borja de la Rosa, president at Club de Mar-Mallorca, is convinced that Zabell's assessment will give the entity's nautical vocation a significant boost. The Club currently has dinghy sailing and kayaking sections as well as a complete regatta program in which the Illes Balears Clàssics-Vela Clásica Mallorca is the most remarkable one and an international reference in vintage boats fleets.

Zabell's integration in Club de Mar-Mallorca's sporting team will be made official next Friday, March 28th, with the signature of an agreement.
