Club de Mar delivers the yearly diplomas to all sailing students
Club de Mar-Mallorca celebrated last Saturday its yearly Sports Gala, where the entity awards the best students in sailing and canoeing over 2017, as well as giving recognition to collaborating companies and professionals.
The diplomas were delivered by a chairperson of the Balearic Canoe Federation, Juan José Vallejo; the Club's vicepresident, José Cuart, and the Club's president, Borja de la Rosa, who encouraged, in his closing speech, all young sailors and canoers to maintain their hobby as well as maintaining their enthusiasm and exemplary behavior on behalf of Club de Mar.

"This year we were very pleased to see the progress of our schools and and its increase in participation in competitions. Our goal is to keep promoting the schools and the teams" he said.

The gala, with over a hundred attendees, gave recognition, among others, to the results of: Max Gómez (best Optimist sailor); Sofía Miteva (best Laser 4.7 sailor), Evgeny Panevin and Tiffany Blackmann (best Cruisers), Mariona Mir (best canoe Newcomer), Aina Palmer (best Young canoer), David García (best Kid canoer), Miguel Ángel Cerdá (best Young Canoer) and Víctor Rodríguez (best Junior canoer).

The Club also awarded Pablo Cortés as this year's stand-out sailor, the company Autovidal (sponsor of the Illes Balears Clàssics regatta) and Christopher Ritter, as best communication professional for his support to the Club.
