The president of UNICEF in the Balearic Islands, Mercedes del Pozo, compared the current situation in countries like Syria or Yemen with which, at the end of World War II, gave origin to UNICEF in order to help the children of Europe, and thanked the solidarity of the Club de Mar Mallorca.

Borja de la Rosa took the oportunity of the event to remind that Club de Mar is a sports and social entity, among whose commitments is "to collaborate with organizations that develop actions in favor of groups in need."

"We all know," De la Rosa added, "the work that UNICEF is doing and the need for those of us who have had the luck and the privilege of living in developed countries to give what is in our hands so that less and less children suffer the devastating effects of wars, lack of water and food, and natural disasters.
