Historic win for Club de Mar in the European Juvenile Snipe competition
The two Majorcans, representing Club de Mar and Club de Vela de Andratx, won the title with onlu two advantage points over the second classified, the Portuguese Mafalda and Tomas Pires de Lima.
Enric Noguera (CN Puerto Andratx) and Marc Capó (Club de Mar), accompanied by Joan Company, won today the European Juvenile Snipe Class competition, after closing the third day and follwing the planned program in all nine races. The competition has taken place from September 18 in the waters of Real Club de Regatas Santiago de la Ribera, in the Minor Sea.

Noguera and Capó weren't at their best, but knew they were playing with little advantage over their opponents. In the first race, they arrived second, but the second day their made it eighth. A partial that, in addition to the one obtained by those right behind and a possible third race making it on time, made nerves show among all those involved. A forth pasition was enough to bring the title home, A so it was.

The finish with 14 points (1-1-4-1-1-4-2-8-4), with four partial wins. The Balearics were ahead by two points over the second: Mafalda and Tomas Pires de Lima and the three Cartageneros Antonio López and Gregorio Belmonte, who proved today a great level with two partial wins and a little setback in the first race that made a fifth position.

The top is closed with the Alemrienses Asier Torres and Javier Pérez; the locals Rafael de la Hoz and Cristina García; the Cantabri Joaquín Armengot and Rafael Calvo; the Malagueños Adolfo Villalón (is 14 and still in Optimist, this is his first participation in the class) and Miguel Moncada; the Almerienses Pablo and Ignacio Gutiérrez; the Balearics Andrey Juan Roig and Néstor Diego Revuelta and closing the best ten are the Cartageneros Raúl Fernández and José Gómez-Vizcaíno.
