Club NŠutic Arenal, Spain's Optimist winner
They won in the final with 2-0 against Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria. Club Nautic El Balis ended up third. The competition took place in the waters of the bay of Palma and organised by Club de Mar Mallorca since last Thursday.
Club Nautic Arenal won today the Spanish Optimist Championship in Team Racing with 2-0 against Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria. The competition was held in the Bay of Palma since last Thursday, September 1, under the organization of Club de Mar-Mallorca with the participation of 7 yacht clubs and 35 sailors.

The Majorcan entity classified third in the first stage and today they faced Club Nautic El Balis in the semifinal winning by 2-1. Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria, who had the highest score after the races on Friday and Saturday, had it easy to defeat Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja with 2-0 in the other semifinal.

The prize-giving ceremony, with Manuel Nadal, Joaquin Gonzalez Devesa, Miquel SuŮer, president of the Balearic Yacht Clubs Association (ACNB); Cati Darder, president of the of the Balearic Optimist Class Association (ABCIO), and Josť Luis Arrom, director of Club de Mar Mallorca, took place at 6 p.m. in Club de Mar's terraces, in an area offered by Coca Cola. The first three classified received a cup and a medal for each sailor. The five Spain's champions also received a plaque from the Spanish Federation.
