More than 40 boats will participate this Saturday in the XXXVIII edition of the Army Trophy, which will take place in the waters of the bay of Palma and will be organised by Club de Mar Mallorca, the Comisión Naval de Regatas de Baleares and the Federación Balear de Vela.
In this race, boats with the ORC and RI measurments certificate will participate (those boats wihtout a certificate will assigned with a RI estimate rating), latin sail, one-designs and toxos. There will be a ranking for each class although a minimum of four boats is required at the start to form a group.

The Army's Corcel 45 Aifos will participate once again in the regatta, a boat launched in 1996, which was modified and optimized to compete in ORC last year under designer Bruce Farr's supervision.

All categories will sail a coastal race in the bay of Palma with start and finish in front of the cathedral. The cruisers will start sailing up to a buoy placed in s'Arenal, turn towards another placed in Calanova and then head towards the finish.

Latin sail and light sail, slower than the rest, will only sail up to a buoy placed in front of San Juan de Dios and return back to Calanova and then head to the finish. The prize delivery will take place on Sunday, 29th May at 8 p.m.
