Vidal and Vallespir win the Mallorca Snipe Championship
The crew formed by Cristian Vidal and Marc Vallespir made it to the top in the Mallorca Snipe class Championship this past weekend in Club de Mar Mallorca, a race that gathered almost 20 boats.
Teams from six different clubs participated in the regatta, proving a revival of the Snipe category. Two teams from Menorca also arrived in Club de Mar to take part in the race.

Vidal and Vallespir, onboard the Blezo and representing Club de Mar, won thanks to a great ending of the competition. A total of six rounds were celebrated in the Bay of Palma, with up to 20-knot winds.

The Menorcans Antonio Pons and Lorenzo Mesquida from CN Ciutadella started strong and won in three of the first four races, but when they competed in the last two partials they were left with no chances.

This circumstance benefited Cristian Vidal and Marc Vallespir, who ended up winning the Mallorca Championship. The Club de Mar-Mallorca team beat Pablo Balaguer and Alfonso Comas from Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa by one point, leaving them in second position. Antonio Pons and Lorenzo Mesquida ended up third and stood on the podium.
